What we treat

We treat many kinds of dental emergencies, including:

• Tooth pain
• A cracked or broken tooth
• A damaged crown
• A lost filling
• A loose or knocked-out tooth

Emergency care is offered during regular office hours. Call the office nearest you for help.

Tooth pain

Common causes include decay, infection, an abscess, gum disease, an impacted, broken, or chipped tooth, something stuck between teeth, or another injury. If you have tooth pain, contact your dentist right away.

Until you can be seen

• Rinse your mouth with warm water.
• Floss to remove food or anything stuck between teeth.
• Hold a cold compress to the painful area.
• Take an over-the-counter pain reliever such as acetaminophen.
• Apply a topical pain reliever with benzocaine, such as Orajel.
